| That's a good point Lili... "beyefselo el dein 3an el donya"... You know, I knew a woman before who used to teach Arabic to Non-Arabic Speakers and address them to Islam. But also , masha'Allah, she studied Arabic very hard as her first language and she really knows a lot about both languages... EL MOHEM... she was once telling me that "deen" or religion means a way of life... how you live... not only wprshipping Allah in the mosque and memorizing the whole Qur'an at the age of 10 and forgetting all about the great ethics that Islam has taught us... it's not that way at all... "al deen al mu3amala"... and religion interferes in every aspect of our lives, whether we feel it or not, it does interfere. And our holy Qur'an and the prophetic hadiths haven't left anything in our lives without giving the correct way of dealing with it...
I love this hadith (or I'm not sure, maybe it's a quote of a companion) that says: "ga2 al Islam li yu7awel al 3adah ila 3ibadah"... That's 100% true; you can takae "thawab" on every action you do if your will is sincerely to Allah only.
Anyway, this issue needs a lot of discussion... I guess it was better in the Islamic Portal. Really thanks ya Lili 4 stating this point, I've always waited for the chance to talk about it.
Bottom line, we do need somebody who will guide to the right way, to Allah's way, to follow. | |
