Well... I wrote this poem but I couldn't think of a suitable name for it. After you read this (if you read it), can you please suggest a name for it?




Once in some ugly time that passed
A little emaciated girl weakly lay
on the edge of life, about to fall
for she had given up all hope anyway

She decided to stay forever alone
like a sheep straying from its large herd
for she had lost everything, stopped flying high
and had become like a broken-winged bird

Being away from everyone was the only thing
she'd never ever thought she would do
but after being dumped into the dust bin
she had to be alone with no-one to talk to

Sitting peacefully in her new hollow life
which has now become her only home
some impish people suddenly intruded her life
disturbing the thoughts and calmness of her own

Such a shame she easily allowed them to intrude
those filthy fickle-minded beings
like impurities staining clear water
they lit a fire and caused the alarm to ring

And so the fire was not even put out
by those corrosive tears flooding from her eyes
she couldn't resist this tough invasion
nor could she resist watching her confidence die

She could think of nothing but hating herself
as she drowned in this endless sea of tears
Where's her infamous growing smile?
Where are the friends she's made over the years?

The answer hit her so quickly and strongly
like a huge plane crashing into a building
"Your friends are surrounding you, dear
but it's heavy stones they're upon you throwing"

As the answer lingered slowly in her mind
she began to understand the reason why
life rejected her and didn't want her anymore
so it sent her this harsh early goodbye

And as the bony girl sat suffering silently
from all the agonies and those heavy stones
thrown on her heart from her evil friends
she could fight no more, she died alone...

a gurl who used to have friends and was loved by everyone, but they ignored her so she stayed alone... then they didn't even leave her alone, they even started annoying her until she could no longer take it in.

PS. Usually the poem reflects the poet's opinion by some way or another, sometimes by using third person.

pinky, I'm so touched by yr poem. it's really so deeply felt. but it only brings pitty feelings. why should girls feel so. may be its this age when bys and grls feel different feelings, weired feelings, or too much feelings . . .!!!

Senior... Thanks for your fruitful feedback... You thought of the same point I thought of which is :"Maybe when we grow up we'll understand"... U know, like parents do, maybe. I've never tried talking about this to my parents, cuz it's not a subject actually... n if it is, then it's a very vague n mysterious one... I don\t wanna sound like a nutter (maybe it's the Exams effect) but it definitely needs discussing!
